Bansuri Bliss Birthday Bash

Bansuri Bliss Birthday Bash – October 31st, 2022

Monday October 31st, 2022 is the 5th birthday of Bansuri Bliss! To celebrate, we will be holding a Bansuri Bliss Birthday Bash…and you are invited! To make it easy for you to join, we will be having TWO birthday bashes:

October 31st at 8am Los Angeles time (convert timezone here)

October 31st at 5pm Los Angeles time (convert timezone here)

Both sessions will last an hour. Feel free to attend both sessions!

There will be live bansuri performances by Bansuri Bliss Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger and his students. You will be able to get your bansuri questions answered and you can request a raga. Come prepared with a bansuri (if you have one) and a hot cup of chai, and join the celebration!

“I attended the program ‘Bansuri Bliss (5th )Birthday Bash – 31/10/2022. I liked the program very much. I wrote a mail expressing my happiness:

‘Dear Dr Kriger, I wish Bansuri Bliss and everyone in it a Very Happy Birthday. I really enjoyed the Birthday Bash program. This is the first time I listen to live flute recital from you. I want to learn playing flute from you. I wanted to talk to you about it from a long time. But since the distance is long, I was not sure how easy it is to learn through internet. After today’s program, I am feeling that it may be possible to learn. I am 68 years now. I learnt for 1 year playing flute long time back (in 1979) from Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao. He is a saintly person. Due to various reasons I did not pursue flute playing. (I left Bombay after 1980 and also due to my academic work commitments). I started thinking of learning to play flute again about 10 years back. I admire Pandit Vijayji’s style of playing and I respect him a lot. I was looking for some of his disciples. In this context I found your name about 5 years back.

Can I learn playing flute from you? I know very little. Playing scales of Ragas Yaman, Bhoopali. Please advise me about this (age is not on my side). Even if I cannot learn playing flute, I would love to listen to your teaching and playing of flute. I am 68 years and a retired computer science professor.
